5(NH4)2O•12WO3•nH2O = 12WO3 + 10NH3 + (n+5)H2O
The production process is divided into two operations of drying and calcining, and the equipment used is an electric heating rotary tubular furnace. In production, in addition to requiring a certain purity of tungsten trioxide, a suitable particle size is also required. The particle size of WO3 will affect the quality of metal tungsten and tungsten carbide. The particle size of tungsten trioxide is not only related to the properties of the original tungsten compound, but also related to the calcination temperature and calcination time.
