In industry, wolframite is generally reacted with sodium hydroxide to produce sodium tungstate, which is filtered and purified, and then undergoes metathesis reaction with calcium chloride solution to form calcium tungstate, which is then treated with hydrochloric acid to produce tungstic acid.
Calcium tungstate can be obtained by roasting sodium carbonate and tungsten ore or calcium tungstate ore, then immersing in water, purifying, adding calcium chloride to precipitate, and then hydrolyzing with hydrochloric acid.
