What Is Scheelite?

Scheelite (Scheelite) Ca [WO4], also known as calcium tungstate ore, is an important tungsten ore mineral. The genesis of scheelite is mainly produced in contact metasomatization deposits, and can also be found in high-medium temperature hydrothermal deposits.

Chemical Composition of Scheelite

Since the ionic radii of W6+ and Mo6+ are almost equal, W and Mo in scheelite are completely isomorphic, forming a scheelite-molybdenum-tungsten series. At high temperature, the Mo content is high; in the scheelite that coexists with molybdenite, the Mo content is also high. Part of Ca can be replaced by Cu and TR.
