Oxygen vacancy defects in the tungsten dioxide lattice and strong metal-metal bonds inside the crystal, therefore, tungsten dioxide (WO2) has metal conductivity (electronic conductivity is about 3.5×102S/cm). The application of tungsten dioxide can be used as a raw material intermediate, mainly as tungsten trioxide and tungsten dioxide composite materials for the negative electrode of lithium-ion batteries.
