What Temperature Does Molybdenum Yield Strength?

The yield strength of molybdenum decreases with increasing temperature. The temperature at which the yield strength of molybdenum drops to zero is called the “ductile-to-brittle transition temperature,” which is typically around 500-600°C (932-1112°F). Above this temperature, molybdenum becomes soft and ductile and is more prone to creep deformation.
