Tungsten dichloride is an inorganic compound, its chemical formula is WO2Cl2, and it is a yellow solid at normal temperature and pressure. Soluble in cold water and decomposed in hot water. Sensitive to atmospheric moisture. The reaction tubes must therefore be opened in a dry nitrogen atmosphere and stored under vacuum or dry inert gas.
