2. Bromination method: react tungsten oxide and hydrogen bromide to generate tungsten bromide. Then react tungsten bromide and bromine gas under high temperature conditions to produce tungsten tetrabromide. The chemical equation for the reaction is:
WO3 + 6HBr → WBr3 + 3H2O
WBr3 + Br2 → WBr4
