What Is Lithium Tungstate?

Lithium tungstate (English name: Lithium Tungstate) has a chemical formula Li2WO4, a molecular weight of 261.73, a melting point of 742°C, and a relative density of 3.71. Lithium tungstate is a colorless trigonal crystal, soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol. Lithium tungstate decomposes in ethanol. Lithium tungstate emits blue fluorescence after cathode ray irradiation. Lithium tungstate is stable in air. Lithium tungstate aqueous solution is alkaline. Heating lithium tungstate at a temperature of 500-800°C reduces it to tungsten bronze with H2, and generates WO2 after heating to 600°C, and the final product is W (beta type).
