The Effect of Pressure on the Solubility of Tungsten Tetrabromide

For the solubility of tungsten tetrabromide, the effect of pressure is relatively small. In general, changes in pressure have little effect on the solubility of solids in liquids, especially for non-volatile substances.

In most cases, increasing or decreasing pressure has no obvious effect on the solubility of tungsten tetrabromide in solvents. Because solubility is mainly determined by chemical properties and interaction forces between substances, and these properties and forces are relatively stable at a certain temperature for most solutes, and are less affected by pressure.

However, if a reaction involving the presence of a gas phase between a solute and a solvent or a dissolution process involves the release or absorption of a gas, changes in pressure may have some effect on solubility. For example, if tungsten tetrabromide undergoes a gas-forming reaction in a solvent, increasing the pressure can drive the reaction toward the dissolved product, thereby increasing solubility. But this situation is not common.
