Deliquescence; difficult to dissolve in non-polar solvents, soluble in water, ethanol and other polar solvents. Strongly acidic. It is obtained by acidifying the mixed solution of sodium tungstate and sodium silicate with strong acid to strong acidity under stirring, and extracting and purifying with ether. It is used as organic synthesis catalyst, reagent, electroplating solution additive and as precipitant in atomic energy industry.
