Add excess tungsten trioxide to ammonia water, and filter to obtain ammonium tungstate solution after reaction. After the reaction system is filled with nitrogen, hydrogen selenide is introduced to saturation, exothermic reaction occurs, the solution turns dark brown, and green precipitates after cooling. Crystalline (NH4)2WSe4. (Note: If the reaction is not complete, red crystals (NH4)2WSe2O2 will be precipitated.
Ammonium tetrathiotungstate can be obtained by reacting tungstic acid, ammonia water and hydrogen sulfide, and the reaction is carried out in a water bath at 65~70°C:H2 WO4 +2NH3⋅H2O+4H2S⟶(NH4)2WS4 +6H2O
