Sodium silicotungstate is also known as “sodium dodecatungsilicate 20 hydrate”, and its chemical formula is Na4Si(W3O10)4•20H2O. Molecular weight 3326.53. Sodium silicotungstate is a colorless triclinic crystal. Soluble in water, soluble in acid, ammonium hydroxide, slightly soluble in ethanol. It loses 7 molecules of water at 100°C and decomposes when heated strongly.
