According to customs data, from January to May 2023, China’s imports of unlisted rare earth oxides totaled 18,092 tons, a year-on-year increase of 568%, of which about 98% came from Myanmar. In May, China imported 3,826 tons of unlisted rare earth oxides, an increase of 301% year-on-year and a decrease of 9% month-on-month.
