China’s Rare Earth Imports from January to May 2023

According to customs data, from January to May 2023, China’s cumulative import of rare earth metal mines was 30,684 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 11%; the cumulative import of mixed rare earth carbonate was 3,575.5 tons, a year-on-year increase of 199%; the cumulative import of unlisted rare earth oxides was 18,092 tons , an increase of 568% year-on-year.
