Solubility Difference between Tetrabromotungsten and Tungsten Dibromide

There are some differences in solubility between tetrabromotungsten (WBr4) and dibromotungsten (WBr2):

Solubility properties: tetrabromotungsten has some solubility in some organic solvents, such as dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), dimethyl formamide (DMF), etc., and can form solutions in these solvents. In contrast, tungsten dibromide is less soluble and usually does not dissolve easily in common organic solvents.

Solubility: The solubility of tetrabromotungsten depends on the nature and conditions of the solvent used. Soluble solutions of tetrabromotungsten tetrabromide can be obtained under appropriate solvents and conditions. On the other hand, the solubility of tungsten dibromide is relatively low, and it is generally not easy to dissolve in common solvents.
