Properties: Sodium tungstate [Na2WO4•2H2O] white glossy flaky crystal or crystalline powder, soluble in water and slightly alkaline, insoluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in ammonia. Weathered in the air. When heated to 100°C, it loses crystal water and becomes anhydrous. It decomposes into water-soluble tungstic acid in case of strong acid. Uses: Mainly used for the production of intermediate products of tungsten materials, as well as mordants, catalyst pigments and analytical reagents, fabric weighting agents for textile industry, water treatment chemicals, fireproof and waterproof materials, as well as phosphotungstate, boron tungsten salt.
