According to Chinatungsten Online research and compilation of customs data, China’s molybdenum products imports from January to August 2023 totaled 34,041.91 tons, an increase of 37.28% year-on-year; the cumulative amount of imports was 5.469 billion yuan, an increase of 85.13% year-on-year.
Among them, China imported 6,164.90 tons of roasted molybdenum ore and its concentrate from January to August, an increase of 80.01% year-on-year; 21,978.62 tons of other molybdenum ore and its concentrate, an increase of 24.43% year-on-year; 557.60 tons of molybdenum’s oxides and hydroxides, a year-on-year decrease of 3.98%; 456.91 tons of ammonium molybdate, a year-on-year decrease of 56.65%; other molybdates 1 ,215.92 tons, an increase of 85.74% year-on-year; ferromolybdenum 3,423.64 tons, an increase of 211.06% year-on-year; molybdenum powder 2.55 tons, a decrease of 80.66% year-on-year; molybdenum wire 17.15 tons, a decrease of 10.31% year-on-year; and other molybdenum products 28.59 tons, a decrease of 5.43% year-on-year.
