This makes it a very hard material with excellent wear and scratch resistance. The hardness of high-density tungsten alloy is related to its density and alloy composition. Its hardness is very close to that of pure tungsten, but is slightly reduced due to the addition of some other alloying elements to improve processability and corrosion resistance.
