What Pollutants are Generated in the Production Process of Ammonium Metatungstate?

Pollutants that may be generated during the production of ammonium metatungstate mainly include waste gas, waste water and solid waste.

Exhaust gas

Exhaust gases mainly come from the yellow tungsten and blue tungsten rotary furnace process, testing and packaging process, ammonium metatungstate rotary tube furnace, spray drying process and boiler. The main components include ammonia, water vapor and dust. Among them, ammonia and water vapor are the main exhaust gas components, while dust mainly comes from the spray drying process.

Exhaust gas treatment measures

The tail gas of the rotary furnace is discharged after distillation + condensation + secondary acid absorption + primary water absorption + 1#15-meter-high exhaust; the flue gas of the boiler is discharged through the furnace desulfurization + bag filter + alkali wet desulfurization and dust removal + 45-meter-high chimney; the dust generated in the process of monitoring the packaging of tungsten oxide and the dust generated in the process of spray-drying of ammonium metatungstate is discharged through the bag filter and cyclone dust collector + spray dust remover respectively. Dust is discharged after dust removal.

Wastewater

Wastewater mainly comes from the wastewater generated by the exhaust gas spraying system and the living sewage of employees. Among them, the wastewater generated from the waste gas spraying system is generally replaced regularly and reused in the ammonium metatungstate leaching section without external discharge; while the external wastewater is mainly the employees’ domestic sewage.

Wastewater treatment measures

Domestic wastewater is usually treated by the existing wastewater treatment station in the plant.

Solid Waste

Like other chemical production processes, the production process of ammonium metatungstate will produce various solid wastes, such as waste slag and waste catalyst. These solid wastes need to be categorized, collected, stored and disposed of in order to comply with environmental protection requirements.

The pollutants generated during the production of ammonium metatungstate mainly include waste gas and waste water. These pollutants are expected to have little impact on the surrounding environment after appropriate treatment measures. However, strict control and management of the generation and discharge of these pollutants is still required to ensure the environmental friendliness and sustainability of the production process.
