Is Ammonium Metatungstate Soluble in Glycerol?

Ammonium metatungstate has limited solubility in gamma-triol (glycerol) and is only slightly soluble.

Ammonium metatungstate is a white or slightly yellow crystalline powder which is soluble in water and has good water solubility. However, ammonium metatungstate is poorly soluble in non-polar organic solvents.

Glycerol (glycerol) is a non-polar organic solvent, and according to the principle of similar solubility, ammonium metatungstate should have a lower solubility in glycerol. Ammonium tungstate (similar to ammonium metatungstate) is only slightly soluble in glycerol. This suggests that the solubility of ammonium metatungstate in gamma-triol (glycerol) is also limited.

Ammonium metatungstate is only slightly soluble in glycerol. If it is necessary to dissolve ammonium metatungstate, it is recommended to use more polar solvents, such as water and ethanol.
