AMTは酸化触媒や光触媒の製造にも使用されます。たとえば、メタノールをホルムアルデヒドに酸化するプロセスでは、AMTがタングステン源として使用され、酸化鉄（Fe₂O₃）と複合して触媒が作られます。さらに、AMT由来のWO₃は、光触媒による水分解で水素を生成する可能性があり、バンドギャップ（約2.6 eV）が可視光吸収に適しています。
