What Is Resistance Welding Electrode?

Resistance welding electrode, also called combined electrode, is a type of electrode used for resistance spot welding. This kind of electrode can maximize the concentration of heat energy on the workpiece to be welded, thereby forming an efficient nugget. At the same time, the copper rod portion of most inlaid electrodes can easily be designed to be water-cooled. Therefore, compared with solid pure tungsten electrodes, pure molybdenum electrodes are better in high-temperature and high-current applications.
