Copper Tungstate, also known as Copper Tungsten Oxide, has a molecular formula of CuWO4. Copper tungstate is light gray powder, soluble in ammonia water, slightly soluble in acetic acid, insoluble in ethanol, decomposed in inorganic acid. It is widely used as laser matrix material, scintillation detector, optical fiber and electrode material for photo-splitting water.
