The surface is broken to varying degrees and covered with cracks; the morphology of violet tungsten is obviously different from the other three. The large particles are loose particle clusters composed of needle-like or rod-like grains. All the tungsten oxide pellets have abundant cracks inside, and the violet tungsten pellets are not only rich in cracks, but also the internal particles are needle-like or rod-like. The structure of violet tungsten particles has a large gap, which makes the bulk density low, which is beneficial to the infiltration of hydrogen and the escape of water vapor during the reduction process, so that the reduction not only starts from the surface, but also proceeds simultaneously inside. The particle shape of violet tungsten is rod-shaped, and the shape of other tungsten oxide particles is nearly spherical; the particle size is the largest in violet tungsten particles.
