The production process of impregnated barium tungsten electrodes mainly includes the following steps:
Preparation of tungsten sponge
Using materials such as tungsten powder, paraffin, aviation gasoline, and glycerol as raw materials.
Pour gasoline into paraffin to melt it, then pour it into tungsten powder (about 180 ℃) and stir quickly until the gasoline flavor disappears.
Press the mixture into blocks and perform low-temperature sintering. The sintering process includes slow heating up to 600 ℃ before (100-150 ℃/hour), 600~1400 ℃ at (200 ℃/hour, insulation for 1 hour), and finally high-temperature sintering to 1700 ℃.
Preparation of launch materials
Bake barium aluminate in a 100 ℃ oven, then grind and press it into blocks, and add Al2O3 to the molybdenum boat for sintering.
When the sintering temperature reaches 700-800 ℃, keep it warm for 1 hour, and keep it warm for 2 hours at 1400 ℃, then grind it to obtain the finished launch material.
Preparation of Impregnated Barium Tungsten Electrodes
Put barium aluminate into nitrocellulose and stir to form a paste, then apply it to the surface of the prepared tungsten sponge.
Burn the tungsten sponge coated with emitting materials to 1750 ℃ until the surface color of the product appears light green, completing the preparation of impregnated barium tungsten electrodes.
It should be noted that the impregnation method for preparing barium tungsten electrodes has advantages such as good emission performance, high current density, smooth electrode surface, and long product life. But this method also has drawbacks such as complex process and difficult processing.
