What Is a Molybdenum Crucible?

Molybdenum Crucible is a container made of high-purity molybdenum metal, mainly used for melting, evaporating or reacting substances in high-temperature environments. Due to its high melting point (2623°C), excellent thermal conductivity, good mechanical strength and chemical stability, molybdenum crucibles are widely used in harsh environments such as vacuum, inert atmosphere, and high-temperature furnaces, especially in high-temperature technical fields such as sapphire crystal growth, rare earth metal smelting, glass melting, and semiconductor material preparation.

Molybdenum crucible:

High melting point: suitable for high temperature operation above 2000°C.

Chemical resistance: stable in vacuum or inert atmosphere.

High strength: maintains good mechanical properties even at high temperatures.

molybdenum with a purity of more than 99.95% is selected to reduce the impact of impurities on the product.

Excellent thermal conductivity: helps to evenly distribute temperature.

Common application scenarios:

Sapphire crystal growth furnace (such as KY method, Czochralski method, etc.)

Rare earth metal or high purity metal smelting

Solar silicon wafer melting

Vacuum evaporation coating

High temperature ceramic sintering

High temperature processing of glass and compound semiconductor materials
