- Temperature dependence
The specific heat capacity of molybdenum increases slightly with increasing temperature, mainly due to the enhanced lattice vibration and electronic contribution. The following are approximate values:
100°C: ~0.26 J/(g·K) or 260 J/(kg·K).
500°C: ~0.28 J/(g·K) or 280 J/(kg·K).

Purity: The specific heat capacity of high-purity molybdenum is relatively stable, and impurities may slightly change the value.
Alloying: The specific heat capacity of molybdenum alloys (such as Mo-W, Mo-La) may vary depending on the alloying elements and is usually slightly higher or lower than pure molybdenum.
Temperature: The specific heat capacity increases at high temperatures, but the change is small and remains stable well below the melting point (2623°C).
