Is Tungsten Tetrabromide Soluble in Water?

Tungsten tetrabromide (WBr4) is insoluble in water at room temperature. Since tungsten tetrabromide is an ionic compound, it contains negatively charged tungsten ions (W^4+) and four bromide ions (Br^-). This ionicity makes tungsten tetrabromide difficult to dissolve in water. However, under extreme conditions, such as high temperature and pressure, tungsten tetrabromide may react with water and form other compounds. But in general, the solubility of tungsten tetrabromide and water is very low.
