The Melting Point Difference between Tungsten Tetrabromide and Tungsten Hexabromide

There is a significant difference in melting point between tungsten tetrabromide (WBr4) and tungsten hexabromide (WBr6).

The melting point of tungsten tetrabromide is low, about 200-250 degrees Celsius. This means that at the corresponding temperature, tungsten tetrabromide can be transformed into a liquid state.

The melting point of tungsten hexabromide is higher than that of tungsten tetrabromide, usually between 400-450 degrees Celsius. Compared with tungsten tetrabromide, tungsten hexabromide requires a higher temperature to reach the molten state.
