What Is Tungstic Anhydride?

Tungstic anhydride is also called tungsten trioxide, and its English name is Tungsten Trioxide, Tungsten Oxide.

Tungstic anhydride is light yellow orthorhombic crystalline powder, and its color changes from light to dark when heated. Significant sublimation at 850°C. Insoluble in water and inorganic acids except hydrofluoric acid, slowly soluble in ammonia water or concentrated alkali solution. It reacts with chlorine gas to form oxychloride, but it cannot react with bromine and iodine.
