What Is A Carbide Drill Bit?

The carbide drill bit is a piece of equipment used for core drilling. It consists of a steel cylindrical drill bit body and a tungsten carbide carbide cutting tool. The shape of the drill bit and the number, arrangement and angle of the welds on the cutting tool are different, which are called the bottom edge, the inner edge and the outer edge to ensure the gap for water passage and powder discharge. The upper part of the drill bit body is connected to the core tube with threads. There is a water tank on the side of the drill bit body and a water outlet on the bottom lip to maintain the circulation of flushing fluid. Welding ribs on the inner and outer walls of a cemented carbide drill bit is called a rib-type drill bit. In highly abrasive hard formations, needle-shaped cemented carbide self-sharpening drill bits can be used. Generally, the drillability of cemented carbide drill bits into rocks is Strata of levels II to VII.
