What Is Self-Grinding Carbide?

The self-sharpening alloy has no edge angle and has a small cross-section, so it can eat into and break rocks under axial pressure. The alloy section does not increase after wear, that is to say, the alloy is not blunted during drilling. There are two types of self-grinding alloys: cylindrical and flaky. They are mostly used in hard rock formations with high abrasiveness. The most commonly used self-grinding alloy is T2 type.
