What Are Manufacturing Methods of Cemented Carbide?

There are two main methods for manufacturing cemented carbide: powder metallurgy and solution infiltration. The powder metallurgy method is to mix tungsten carbide powder and other metal carbide powder, add an appropriate amount of cobalt powder, press and form, and then sinter it at high temperature. The infiltration method is to mix tungsten carbide powder and other metal carbide powder, smelt it at high temperature, and then infiltrate cobalt and other metals to obtain cemented carbide. In the process of preparing cemented carbide, parameters such as material composition, sintering temperature and time need to be controlled to ensure the excellent properties of the alloy.
